4 Poems Appear in FRiGG, Issue 39–Winter 2013

January 28, 2013

There is gratitude. And then there’s Gratitude. Having my work appear in FRiGG

Jamez Chang - 4 Poems Appear in FRiGG

…rounds out a journey of stagnancy and hope. From 1999 to 2011, I wrote nothing. Not a single poem, line, rhyme or greeting card. Nothing to call own. Then I happened upon a literary journal, in 2012, one that changed my creative outlook. The journal was FRiGG. Because it is beautiful—the artwork—because it is honest; and perhaps the best compliment any reader or critic can give to a journal: all told, it’ll never fold.

Many thanks to Editor Ellen Parker and Poetry Editor Dennis Mahagin for curating content that made me want to strum again—to look up at a rock or hammer or baseball—and throw. They culled a snapshot; and it Fit.
